Are you open for business and what precautions are you taking with regards to Covid-19?
We are We are open for business! In line with the Health and Safety Executive advice, we have completed a risk assessment to minimise the risk of spreading Covid-19. Russ has been vaccinated and is being tested for covid-19 once a week. The studio, as well as all accessories and outfits, get thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between sessions. Russ will also schedule a call 24 hours before your session to ensure that both parties have not displayed symptoms of Covid-19 or been in contact with Covid-19. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping yourself, us and all of our future clients safe.
What is the difference between a standard family portrait session and a stylised Children's portrait session?
A family session is for the whole family and does not include make-up and styling. We guide you on what to wear and how to prepare. During family sessions, we will photograph you together as well as poses of the children together and a couple of portraits of each child on their own. Family sessions are for families with babies older than 5 weeks old (although we recommend 12 weeks). For babies under 6 weeks old you will need to book a newborn session.
Stylised Children's Portraits are much more involved when it comes to styling and artistically creating a timeless portrait of your child. These sessions are for children aged seven years and older. Hair and makeup is included with this session and we have a wardrobe of beautiful garments to choose from. These sessions are priced and designed for one child at a time but sessions can be booked back to back for siblings so we can include a few poses of them together. Mum and Dad is welcome to join in for one or two poses too.
Do you work on weekends?
We do open on selected Saturday's for family and stylised children's portrait sessions. These are by appointment only and need to be arranged with us. Please Contact us to arrange a date but these do need to be booked in advance. Alternatively, sessions can be booked Monday to Friday in the afternoon for after school pickup.
How much does it cost?
A session fee of £250 is required to confirm your photoshoot in our diary. The session fee covers the following:
Pre-session online consultation and welcome pack on how to prepare for your session.
Your 3-hour stylised photography experience at our studio.
Full hairstyling and makeup service with a professional makeup artist on the day of your session.
Full editing and retouching of your images
A private in-person “reveal” of your photographs 1 week after your photoshoot.
Expert advice on prints, albums and wall art.
You are also investing in a wonderful, fun experience that you will and your child will remember forever.
Our collections include a luxury folio box of professionally printed fine-art photographs and a USB with your high-resolution digital files. The collections start at £1100 and you will have the option to purchase bespoke wall art during your personal ‘reveal’ consultation approximately 1 week after your photoshoot. When will I see the images that are taken?
We will schedule a private ‘reveal’ appointment roughly 1 week after your session. This is where you will see your photographs for the first time and select the collection of prints you love most. This is when we also design customised wall art for your home.
Can I buy just the digital Files?
All of our collections include both the printed photographs and digital files of images you choose in your collection. The digital files cannot be bought separately. We believe that the professional photographs that we are going to create for you deserve to be displayed on only the best quality professional products. Printed photographs are the only sure way to archive our beautiful memories.
How many pictures do you take?
On the day of your session, we will photograph your child in different outfits and poses. You will then see 20 beautifully edited and printed photographs at your ordering session.
Where is your studio based?
Our studio is based in Avenue House, a grade two listed Victorian mansion in the heart of Finchley, North London. The address is Avenue House, 17 East End Road, Finchley, N31LP.
Is there a minimum spend requirement when it comes to ordering my photos?
Our stylised children portrait collections include a luxury folio box of professionally printed fine-art photographs and a USB with your high-resolution digital files. The collections start at £1000 and you will have the option to purchase bespoke wall art during your personal ‘reveal’ consultation approximately 1 week after your photoshoot.
However, you will only invest in the images that you love and we have a no-obligation policy.

How do I book my session?
You will need to arrange your session directly with us, sessions are booked according to our diary availability. Please send us an enquiry form and we will get back to you with some options. Otherwise, feel free to call us to discuss your session and get you booked into our diary.
