There is something extraordinary about the bond a mother has with her unborn child.
It's hard to describe the emotion we can capture during a maternity shoot, and we feel we have to immortalise this incredibly special time in your life and we strive to present you with a selection of images that will take your breath away.

We use a mixture of professional studio lighting, posing and post-production techniques to create a contemporary style of maternity photography that you and your baby will cherish forever.

Please get in touch so we can schedule your session for between 30-34 weeks into your pregnancy. Partners & siblings are not only permitted; they are encouraged to participate in the session.

FAQ’S

Are you open for business and what precautions are you taking with regards to Covid-19?

We are open for business! In line with the Health and Safety Executive advice, we have completed a risk assessment to minimise the risk of spreading Covid-19. Russ has been vaccinated and is being tested for covid-19 once a week. The studio, as well as all accessories and outfits, get thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between sessions. Russ will also schedule a call 24 hours before your session to ensure that both parties have not displayed symptoms of Covid-19 or been in contact with Covid-19. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping yourself, us and all of our future clients safe.

When is the best time in my pregnancy to be photographed?

The ideal time to photograph your bump is between 30 -34 weeks. At this stage of your pregnancy you have a nice round bump but it is not yet too uncomfortable to get in some of the poses. We can photograph you later in your pregnancy, anything up to 38 weeks, but please contact us to book in your session as soon as possible.

Do you work on weekends?

Unfortunately no, all of our sessions are booked Monday to Friday.

Is make up included?

Yes, your session includes hairstyling and make-up with a fully qualified make-up artist. If you wish a second (or third) person to require make-up, there is an additional fee of £50 per person.

How much does it cost?

A session fee of £250 is required to confirm your photoshoot in our diary. The session fee covers the following:

• Pre-session online consultation and welcome pack on how to prepare for your session.

• Your 3-hour maternity photography session at our studio.

• Full hairstyling and makeup service with a professional makeup artist on the day of your session.

• Full editing and retouching of your images

• A private in-person “reveal” of your photographs 1 week after your photoshoot.

• Expert advice on prints, albums and wall art.

You are also investing in a wonderful experience that you will remember forever, it is such a special time in your life, and we want to capture that for you.

Our maternity collections include a luxury folio box of professionally printed fine-art photographs and a USB with your high-resolution digital files. The collections start at £1100 and you will have the option to purchase bespoke wall art during your personal ‘reveal’ consultation approximately 1 week after your photoshoot. What should I bring with me?

We have a selection of outfits, fabrics and accessories that we can use to style your session but it is always a great idea to bring a few of your favourite dresses and outfits along. Once you have booked your session we will schedule a consultation and send you a guide on what to bring to your session and how to prepare.

Is it possible for my partner and other children to be included in the session?

Of course! having a new baby is an exciting time for everyone in the family and we would love to document that for you. 

When will I see the images that are taken?

We will schedule a private ‘reveal’ appointment roughly 1 week after your session. This is where you will see your photographs for the first time and select the collection of prints you love most. This is when we also design customised wall art for your home.

Can I buy just the digital Files?

Our sessions include both the printed and digital copies of your photographs. The digital files cannot be purchased separately. We believe that the professional pictures that we are going to create for you deserve to be displayed using only the best quality professional products that will last a lifetime. Printed photographs are the only sure way to archive our beautiful memories.

How many pictures do you take?

On the day of your session, we will photograph you in different outfits and poses. We will also include poses with your partner and children. You will then see 20 beautifully edited and printed photographs at your ‘reveal’ ordering session.

Where is your studio based?

Our studio is based in Avenue House, a grade two listed Victorian mansion in the heart of Finchley, North London. The address is Avenue House, 17 East End Road, Finchley, N31LP.

Is there a minimum spend requirement when it comes to ordering my photos?

Our maternity collections include a luxury folio box of professionally printed fine-art photographs and a USB with your high-resolution digital files. The collections start at £1000 and you will have the option to purchase bespoke wall art during your personal ‘reveal’ consultation approximately 1 week after your photoshoot.

However, you will only invest in the images that you love and we have a no-obligation policy.

How do I book my session?

You will need to arrange your session directly with us, sessions are booked according to our diary availability. Please send us an enquiry form and we will get back to you with some options. Please include your estimated due date or your baby’s age. Otherwise, feel free to call us to discuss your session and get you booked into our diary.
